Minority children in foster care are being ill-served by a federal law that plays down race and culture in adoptions, a report released on Tuesday said.The report, based on an examination of the law’s impact over a decade, said that minority children adopted into white households face special challenges and that white parents need preparation and training for what might lie ahead.

Seems like littlle Spikey is upset because Eastwood made “racist films” about Iwo Jima. Eastwood left out Black US soldiers, so Spike Lee decided to right this gross misjustice by playing the old and tired race card.

“Does he know anything about American history?” Eastwood told Focus when asked about Lee’s criticism. “The U.S. military was segregated til the Korean War, and the blacks in World War Two were totally segregated. The only black battalion on Iwo Jima was a small munitions supply unit that came to the beach.

“The story was about the men who raised the flag and we can’t make them black if they were not there. So tell him: Why don’t you go back and study your history and stop mouthing off!”

This, I suppose, would be part of his new, politics? Bringing people together? Uniting, not dividing?

In a speech to the crowd, Obama sharpened his rhetoric against some of the most vocal voices against immigrant workers and migrant worker programs.“A certain segment has basically been feeding a kind of xenophobia. There’s a reason why hate crimes against Hispanic people doubled last year,” Obama said. “If you have people like Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh ginning things up, it’s not surprising that would happen.”

Well, I guess his pastor DID teach a thing or two.

The Detroit City Council has voted 5-4 to begin a process aimed at removing Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick from office for his role in a text-messaging sex scandal. Council members also voted 5-4 Tuesday to ask Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm to remove Kilpatrick and voted 7-2 to publicly censure him.

To the question of the moment–What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?–I answer, Obama knew everything, and he’s known it for ages. Far from succumbing to surprise and shock after Jeremiah Wright’s disastrous performance at the National Press Club, Barack Obama must have long been aware of his pastor’s political radicalism. A careful reading of nearly a year’s worth of Trumpet Newsmagazine, Wright’s glossy national “lifestyle magazine for the socially conscious,” makes it next to impossible to conclude otherwise.

Wright founded Trumpet Newsmagazine in 1982 as a “church newspaper”–primarily for his own congregation, one gathers–to “preach a message of social justice to those who might not hear it in worship service.” So Obama’s presence at sermons is not the only measure of his knowledge of Wright’s views. Glance through even a single issue of Trumpet, and Wright’s radical politics are everywhere–in the pictures, the headlines, the highlighted quotations, and above all in the articles themselves. It seems inconceivable that, in 20 years, Obama would never have picked up a copy of Trumpet. In fact, Obama himself graced the cover at least once (although efforts to obtain that issue from the publisher or Obama’s interview with the magazine from his campaign were unsuccessful).

Building on his reputation as a charismatic and “socially conscious” preacher (and no doubt also upon the fame conferred by his Obama connection), Wright decided several years ago to take the publication national.

 Like I said this just proves again that Obama is and has been lying. It is painfully obvious.Well painfully obvious to everyone except for Obamaniacs! And the leering press, and Rosie the Spoon, and Bill Moyers.

Director Spike Lee has waded into the ongoing controversy surrounding Jeremiah Wright, the Chicago pastor whose provocative statements have proved a thorn in the side of Democrat frontrunner Barack Obama. Lee advises the preacher to do the right thing and keep quiet. “The more he opens his mouth, the more damage he does,” he told the Guardian yesterday.

For good measure, Lee hinted at a political conspiracy behind Wright’s recent, contentious attempts to justify his remarks. “It looks like he’s being paid to keep talking,” he said.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright would be happy to see Barack Obama’s presidential campaign derailed because the pastor is fuming that his former congregant has “betrayed” their 20-year relationship,

The Post has learned. “After 20 years of loving Barack like he was a member of his own family, for Jeremiah to see Barack saying over and over that he didn’t know about Jeremiah’s views during those years, that he wasn’t familiar with what Jeremiah had said, that he may have missed church on this day or that and didn’t hear what Jeremiah said, this is seen by Jeremiah as nonsense and betrayal,” said the source, who has deep roots in Wright’s Chicago community and is familiar with his thinking on the matter.

“Jeremiah is trying to defend his congregation and the work of his ministry by saying what he is saying now,” the source added.

Again, these Democrats forget about video tape. Barack busted!

Not that any thinking person would not realize that in 16 years in a church with such a reverend Barack heard everything he now expresses outrage for.

It seemed as if Wright, jokingly offering himself as Obama’s vice president, was actually trying to doom Obama; a member of the head table, American Urban Radio’s April Ryan, confirmed that Wright’s security was provided by bodyguards from Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.Wright suggested that Obama was insincere in distancing himself from his pastor. “He didn’t distance himself,” Wright announced. “He had to distance himself, because he’s a politician, from what the media was saying I had said, which was anti-American.”Explaining further, Wright said friends had written to him and said, “We both know that if Senator Obama did not say what he said, he would never get elected.” The minister continued: “Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls.”Racist scumbag!

Michelle Malkin has the video on her site. I, like Michelle am befuddled by McCain on this issue. He demanded the North Carolina GOP pull its ad on the issue, yet now he says it will be an issue after Obama says he thinks it is a legitimate issue?

This boils down to political strategy folks. McCain is trying to avoid being accused of the “R” word. So he is gambling that if Obama says Rev. Wright is an issue, then McCain will be allowed to bring it up without the accusations of racism from the media and Democrats.

Of course, the media and Democrats will still bring it up no matter what Obama or McCain say about it.

And while Wright made no mention of terrorism, he did revisit the topic of America’s mistreatment of blacks, saying America’s founding fathers “planted slavery and white supremacy in the DNA of this republic,” and adding that Thomas Jefferson wrote, “ ‘God would punish America for the sin of slavery.’ I guess that makes Thomas Jefferson unpatriotic,” he said to the cheers of the congregation.

Reflecting on the late Pincham, Wright said his faith “was not the jingoistic, chauvinistic ‘you’re either with us or against us’ demonizing kind of faith.” Wright said Pincham was friends with “Jews, Muslims, rabbis, imams, fathers in the Catholic church and [Louis] Farrakhan in the Islamic faith.”

Escalating into full-preaching mode, Wright thundered, “Fox News can’t understand that. [Bill] O’Reilly will never get that. Sean Hannity’s stupid fantasy will keep him forever stuck on stupid when it comes to comprehending how you can love a brother who does not believe what you believe. [Pincham’s] faith was a faith in a God who loved the whole world not just one country or one creed.”

Yes, really focus on his words. He spews hate, then bemoans the hate of others? He demonizes those who hold different views then whines about loving those you disagree with?

Another day, another hateful preacher with ties to the Messiah. This one has issues with “Hollywood Jews” and has thrown around some pretty “rough” language as seen in this video. I wonder how Obama has so much HOPE, when he has been surrounded by so much HATRED and BITTERNESS?
